MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME
A little help.
Your break timer
Choose 2, 5 or 8 minutes and start your break. Pause, resume, reset or add time when it finishes. Switching rooms preserves your timer. An open, awake browser is required; sleeping devices and locked phones can delay alarms.
Playing with smoke
In Smoke Studio, choose Rings, Draw or Wind. Drag on the canvas, adjust colour and size, freeze it, undo a drawing stroke or save a picture. Smoke rings have a hollow centre, soft textured edges and loose wisps. Each has a slightly different tilt, shape and drift, then expands and fades. In a community room, other guests see the same ring shape, colour and size. Reduce motion keeps rings stationary while they fade. Buttons provide alternatives to gestures. Captures contain only your scene and smoke; chat is excluded.
Choosing your scene
Open the Break Room or Shared Rooftop to browse square scene cards. Each card opens a room with its own address, such as amber-lounge.html or poolside-women.html. Share that address to show someone the same scene. More scene cards appear automatically when new images are added.
Views with an animated version offer Still / Live, an explicit scene-sound button and a low volume control. Live starts muted. Reduce motion uses the still image, and a video that cannot play falls back to that image. Silence everything mutes both scene sound and the separate ambience.
Inviting friends
Join Quiet company, then use Copy invite link. The link includes your scene name and a roomnumber, so friends can agree to the rules and join your exact room. Each room has up to 11 seats. If an invited room is full or has expired, your friend receives an explanation and is not placed in another room. Invitations stay valid while the room is active; empty rooms expire, and restarting the room service ends existing invitations. Use a website address your friends can reach: localhost refers to the computer opening the link.
Your cup and smoking props
In a Break Room or Shared Rooftop scene, your cup and a cigarette, pipe or reefer can be in the room together. Choose cup opens eleven illustrated cup styles, and Steam cup releases steam from your cup. Your cup choice is remembered on this browser. Sizes opens separate cup and smoking-prop sliders from 50% to 150%. Your sizes are remembered too, and Reset both to 100% restores their original sizes. Larger props fit inside smaller screens. Use the Smoking menu to choose a cigarette, pipe or reefer. Both shows your cup alongside the most recently selected smoking prop; None removes the smoking prop while keeping the cup. Both remembers your last smoking choice on this browser. Light or extinguish the smoking prop with its own action button. A lit prop has an ember and drifting smoke; an extinguished prop shows cold ash and stops producing smoke.
Drag the cup and smoking prop separately inside the scene with your mouse or finger. You can also focus either one and use the arrow keys; hold Shift for a larger step. Moving one keeps the other in place. Cup steam starts at the cup surface, and smoke rings start at the smoking prop when present, or at the cup when it is on its own. The cup chooser and size controls are available in fullscreen too.
Quiet company
Agree to the rules and join a social room. You receive a guest name. Rooms have up to 11 people, and existing eligible rooms fill first. Every guest can share one cup and one smoking prop at the same time. Both positions and sizes, your cup design, smoking prop choice, lit or extinguished state, steam and preset smoke rings become visible to the other guests in your room. Your assigned community name appears beneath both of your own props and beneath both props when other guests see them. In private mode, your own props use the You label. Your timer, audio and freehand drawings remain personal. Select a guest to mute their messages, both props and smoke effects, or use Report beside a message. Return to quiet time whenever you wish.
Fullscreen rooms
Fullscreen expands the whole room and requests landscape on phones where automatic rotation is supported. If your browser cannot rotate the screen, turn your phone sideways when the hint appears. Quiet rooms use the full scene area; joined community rooms keep a compact chat column beside the scene in landscape, or below it in portrait. The countdown and start/pause button stay visible. Use Controls for cups, smoking props or Studio tools. Open Room settings for timer lengths, atmosphere, or joining the community from a quiet room. Scene view offers Fill screen or Whole scene, which keeps the full picture visible. Exit fullscreen restores the page without restarting your timer or clearing your draft. Devices without browser fullscreen use the same expanded layout.
Star Drift
Star Drift is a single-player space shooter. Press S to move left, D to move right and hold Space to fire. Use P or Pause to pause and resume. Touchscreens have separate left, right and fire buttons, which you can hold together. Clear each enemy formation to reach the next wave. Diving ships score double, amber captains take two hits, and every 6,000 points earns an extra life up to five. Your personal best is saved on this browser.
The arcade starts with sound off. Use Sound off to enable laser effects, cosmic hit sounds, sweeping sounds as enemies dive and a quiet spacey background track. Effects and Music have separate sliders, each from silent to full volume, and both settings are remembered. Set Music to 0% to keep just the effects, or Effects to 0% to hear only the music. Music plays during the game and stops while paused or at game over. Adjusting sound during play keeps S, D and Space working. Changing tabs pauses the game until you resume; your break timer keeps running separately. Fullscreen keeps the countdown at the top and game scores and controls visible. This room has no community chat or shared play.
Public high scores
The Arcade brings Star Drift and Robot Arena together, with a separate public top 20 for each. At game over, choose Save to top 20, enter a nickname and press Publish score. Your player name, score and wave reached will appear publicly if your result reaches the list. Scores rank highest first; a higher wave wins a score tie, then the earlier result.
Each browser keeps one best published result per game, linked by an anonymous player cookie. A lower result keeps your previous best. You can change the displayed nickname when publishing. A signed, unpublished result stays on this browser for retrying, including from the Arcade page. Save it within seven days. Clearing cookies or using another browser creates another player identity. Your personal best in the game is separate and stays on your device.
Published results are stored on the server, with automatic backup copies, so closing your browser or restarting the site does not erase them. They are player-submitted scores with basic validation.
Robot Arena
Circuit Rescue is an original single-player Robotron-style game. A moves left, W up, D right, and S or X down. J fires left, I up, L right and K down. Hold two keys for diagonal movement or firing; the two directions are independent. P pauses and resumes. On touchscreens, use the separate Move and Fire pads together. Press a direction, or drag across either pad to change direction; the centre is a resting position.
Touch people to rescue them for increasing bonuses within each wave, up to 5,000 points each. Red robots chase you, green hulks cannot be destroyed but can be pushed back with shots, cyan factories spawn fast robots, violet brains convert people and fire homing shots, and amber tanks fire bouncing projectiles. Shoot red electrodes and enemy projectiles to clear hazards. Defeat every vulnerable robot to advance; hulks do not prevent a wave from ending. Every 25,000 points earns an extra life, up to six. Your best score and independent effects/music volumes are saved separately from Star Drift.
The break timer stays visible in fullscreen. The game pauses when you switch away or open room settings. This is a solo room with no community presence, invitations or chat.
Joining the community
Open a scene, agree to the community rules and choose Join a social room. Public rooms use HTTPS; an HTTP address opens securely. You receive a guest name and room number. Copy the invite link to bring friends into that same room. The connection message beside Join explains any problem. If the connection was interrupted, press Join to retry. Message sending pauses if moderation is unavailable, while the room and shared movements can continue.
Something stopped working
Try lower effects quality or reduced motion. Chat reconnects while you remain on the page. If moderation is unavailable, sending is paused while the room and timer continue working.
Reports and complaints
Report a message privately and keep the reference. During local development, the project owner reviews reports and appeals through the local moderation console. A staffed public contact and complaint route must be configured before public chat opens.
