YOUR SPACE, YOUR SETTINGS

Your privacy.

Your browser stores timer state, sound settings, effect preferences, room-view choices, Live / Still and scene-volume settings, and muted guest choices. Reset local preferences clears CyberSmoke settings; it does not erase moderator evidence.

Arcade high scores are optional. Publishing makes your chosen nickname, best score and wave reached public for that game. The server keeps an anonymous player cookie for up to one year to associate your best results; it contains no name or login details. Results and retry receipts are stored in protected App_Data files with backup copies. Published scores remain until the operator removes them; retry receipts expire after eight days. Unpublished signed results and your chosen nickname stay in your browser for retrying. Clearing local settings does not remove already published scores. The score service uses no external moderation API.

Guest chat uses an opaque session cookie and temporary server identity. Membership and recent approved messages live in server memory. Recent messages expire after 15 minutes. Restarting the application clears live chat state.

While you are in a community room, your prop position, ritual choice, lighting state and preset smoke effects are shared with its guests. These stay in temporary server memory; ring events expire after eight seconds, and leaving removes your prop and effects. Quiet-mode movements and freehand drawings stay in your browser. Shared visual actions contain fixed effects and positions; they are not sent to the moderation provider.

Messages are checked by the configured moderation provider. The supplied integration sends message text and bounded recent room context to OpenAI when enabled by the operator. No key is exposed to your browser. Without a configured provider, sending remains unavailable.

Private reports preserve referenced messages and bounded context in the protected App_Data folder. Report and audit files are deleted after 30 days; the report queue is capped at 1,000 records. Ordinary conversations are not written to analytics.

To help the operator understand room use, the site records anonymous session names, page and room visits, community joins, game starts and finishes, waves reached, and estimated active stay times. Quiet-page time counts visible tabs using a heartbeat; community stays use room membership heartbeats. Activity is private to the administrator and is retained in protected App_Data files for up to 30 days or the latest 20,000 stays, with recovery copies. It does not include chat text, IP addresses, device details or advertising identifiers. Clearing browser preferences does not remove server activity history. Anonymous guest names do not identify real people.

The operator must review retention, provider use, contact details and privacy request arrangements before public operation. The site has no visitor accounts, payments, third-party trackers or public uploads. Community rooms use HTTPS; local development can use localhost.
